In May of this year I was contacted by Shabby Apple asking if I would like to host a giveaway for one of their gorgeous women's dresses on my blog. My answer was a resounding YES!! {insert picture of me doing the happy dance} Well I am very lucky person, as they have just contacted me again and offered me the opportunity to give away another one of their gorgeous women's dresses!
With so many beautiful designs to choose from, including maternity, plus size, and little girls dresses (I love a company that loves women in all shapes and sizes!), you can easily understand that it felt like a Herculean task to decide on just one dress that I thought would be perfect for this giveaway. My original giveaway 'shortlist' was over 10 dresses long!
Shabby Apple has an incredible selection of vintage-inspired women's dresses, like the amazing Jitterbug. All the beautiful details in this dress had simultaneously swooning and wanting to kick up my heels! The rayon-blend fabric used to make this dress make it the ideal 'grab-and-go-and-I'll-always-look-polished' piece; a necessity in my closet. For more-vintage inspired goodies, take a peek at their 65 collection - Joan Holloway eat your heart out!
If you're looking for just the right dress for the upcoming holiday season, you can't go wrong with the delectable 24K. Readers know how much I enjoy a bit of sparkle (or a lot!) in my wardrobe and this dress would be just perfect! Warm gold fabric, beautiful waist detailing, and a flattering mock-shirtwaist style will take you effortlessly from party to party this season! For other beautiful holiday dresses, take a peek at Shabby Apple's Tinsel Town Collection - both dresses and separates shine here!
See why I had so much trouble picking the one perfect dress for this giveaway? After much deliberating - I was going to resort to eenie-meenie-miney-moe - I finally chose what I think is a masterpiece of a women's dress: The Da Vinci.
"Sometimes choosing an outfit is as complex as cracking a Da Vinci anagram or reading backwards Italian cursive without a mirror (or a dictionary!) Take the guesswork out of dressing with the soft and simple Da Vinci dress. One part sweatshirt, one part puff-sleeved perfection, this easy-wearing number has a flare for the informal with its drop waist, A-line skirt and kangaroo pockets. Pack it for your next weekend getaway or make it a part of your everyday routine."
I love the pretty charcoal grey colour, which I think is universally flattering. I love that it's a knit dress - to me that's the best combination of comfort and style. Ever since I made my own knit dress, I have fallen in love with cozy, sweatshirt-style pieces.
This dress is very versatile and would be an excellent addition to your wardrobe. Wearing it as pictured, with a light jacket would be perfect for spring. As the weather warmed, I would pair it with some sassy ballet flats.
For fall, I would pair this with boots and tights and a marvellous fluffy cardigan to keep out the chill. In winter, a long sleeved shirt underneath, along with woolly tights and boots would be the order of the day.
So, would you like to know how to win this dress? It's easy! Simply like Shabby Apple on Facebook and leave a comment here telling me you've done so.
The giveaway is open until Saturday, November 12th at 11:59 EST. I will draw the winner on Sunday, November 13th. Please note that this giveaway is open to readers in North America only.
