The Bali Ha'i Dress by Shabby Apple

A little while ago, the folks at Shabby Apple were kind enough to send me my very own Bali Ha'i dress to review.  After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, the ideal weather arrived and I was able to get some photos of this gorgeous dress.  My thanks to my lovely Mr. Friday for taking loads of photos.

This dress is incredible.  I absolutely love the rich purple (it matches my hair!) and the detailing at the neckline.  The dress is meant to be a snug sheath, but the soft cotton poplin has a slight stretch to it, making it very comfortable.  I would happily wear this out to dinner and freely indulge as the dress does not pinch or tug.

The princess seams provide a lovely feminine shape and the slightly longer length brings Mad Men's Joan to mind.  I chose to dress up my Bali Ha'i dress for these photos and truly felt like a queen.  I would also be comfortable pairing this dress ballet flats and a fitted cardigan for a casual look.

The quality is exceptional with neatly finished seams and invisible zipper.  It is obvious that much thought and care go into each Shabby Apple garment and I expect this lovely dress to be in my wardrobe for many years to come.

I highly recommend this dress to those looking to add a classic piece with a slightly modern twist to their wardrobes. What is your favourite Shabby Apple dress?
