Sew Colette 2.0: Reviewing Fit Tips & Techniques

Colette Patterns Macaron

Throughout  Sew Colette and Sew Colette 2.0, we have reviewed a large variety of fit tips and techniques which will help to craft the ideal-fitting garment you want.   Below is a list of tips & techniques covered for previous projects which will come in handy for your Macaron:

One of the best things you can do at this stage in the sewing process is to wear your muslin, as suggested by lovely Sarai, for at least an hour.  This is a great approach as adjustments that need to be made - including small ones - will become quite obvious after an hour's time, rather than a quick try on.

During the Hazel project, I suggested taking a photo of yourself in your muslin as soon as you try it on and again after at least one hour's wear and then compare the photos.  This will provide you with a clear picture of how the dress fits your body.  Please feel free to share your muslin photos in the sew-along Flickr group.

As always, if there is anything we have not reviewed regarding fit and adjustments, please let me know and we'll be sure to cover what we've missed!
