Now that we're underway with Macaron, Erin, Rochelle, and I thought it would be the ideal time to vote for the pattern for our next project, which is due to kick off on October 1st! For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, it's the perfect time to sew up something cozy for the upcoming cooler months. Southern Hemisphere sewists can focus on light and breezy items for their spring and summer. Now, on to the patterns!
I really like the Parfait dress and it has been in my stash for quite a bit. I love the ultra-feminine details and versatility. Traditionally, Parfait is more of a summer dress; however, when Sarai debuted her beautiful corduroy version last year, I was smitten!
Peony is another fall favourite for me. I made my own plaid version last year and wore it almost to death! The beautiful bateau neckline and classic 60's silhouette make it very flattering. Not to mention its versatility with either the short or 3/4 sleeve version - great for many seasons.
Sweet Jasmine is also a perennial favourite in my me-made wardrobe. I have a few cool weather versions and would happily add a few more to my closet! I always feel terribly chic whenever I wear this blouse. This summer, I made a sleeveless version for myself after seeing Jennifer's version.
Rochelle had the fantastic idea of whipping up a pair of Iris shorts in tweed for the fall/winter. More traditionally, these are a really cute retro-inspired pair of shorts just perfect for the warm weather down under.
So, which one would you like to make? The pattern with the most votes on all of our blogs (yes, you can vote on all of our polls!) will be the winner.
